OUR STORY
In 2016, while searching for a surgical camera, we found that the technologies available for intraoperative video and audio recording were costly, outdated and non-user friendly. Furthermore, the currently available surgical cameras lack recording quality, wireless connectivity, and image stabilization.
The Surgeonview team was formed to address this problem and explore patient and surgeon centred technologies affordable to clinicians and institutions to enhance surgical training.
During the initial stages of development, we found that our technologies could address other problems, such as quality and safety in surgery, remote education, surgical documentation and surgeon's ergonomics.
VISION
Our vision is to develop wearable devices with top-end technology to capture audiovisual data from the surgeon's point of view to enhance surgical education, quality and documentation. We are bringing the operative room accessible to not only health professionals but the patient.
